First-hand experience in global business is imperative to be a well-rounded, 21st-century leader in business. The optional international trip gives The Professional MBA students powerful insights into successful international business practices.

In 2003, 2004, and 2005 the students participated in a week-long visit to Prague, where they met with business and governmental leaders, toured factories and business offices, and sampled a business climate vastly different from the United States, yet integrally connected. In 2006 and 2007, the class traveled to Santiago, Chile to learn about business in one of the world’s fastest growing and most admired economies.  In Chile, the students toured the facilities of many businesses including the country’s leading retail, pharmaceutical, and telecom corporations.

“It was interesting to learn how the Czech Republic went from a communist economy to a free market economy. Then, drawing comparisons between the way they do business today and how business is done in America helped give perspective to The Professional MBA experience.”
