Most of the day was spent on a trip to Terezin which was a fortress during World War II for Jews, Gypsies and Slavs enroute to Auschwitz. Of these, approximately 35,000 died at Terezin from starvation, disease or suicide. |

The evening was spent attending Giacomo Puccini's Tosca at the State Opera House with a pre-opera dinner at the Hotel Esplanade. The Prague State Opera house is one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe with its sumptuous gold auditorium. |
