| The trip to Chile is a must for the ProMBA students. Exposure to a country with a slant toward the deeper aspects such as politics, business, and cultural norms provides a very different perspective of the world outside the US. My other trips abroad mainly focused on the historic sites, food, and speciality items of the nation, such as gold jewelry or leather. While the latter aspects of a country are fine, I thoroughly enjoyed discussing the deeper subjects with the locals. The people that I talked with were extremely friendly and glad to discuss not only their country but also the surrounding countries. The deeper subjects also provide a sense of exploration because unlike the typical focus areas, the deeper subjects are not captured in normal travel literature. I have been ruined on how I will look at future excursions out of the US and look forward to my future explorations. Again, I recommend the foreign trips a must for ProMBA students. |

I very much enjoyed the Santiago, Chile trip in March 2006. Santiago is an interesting location to learn about South America, and of Chile, more specifically. Speaking to and visiting different businesses every day really provided for a more in-depth learning experience. Even the tours and free time provided for a transformative learning experience that could not have been achieved by studying from another country. Everything from the visits with the Chilean MBA students, to the opera, horseback riding and company meetings, were absolutely fabulous. |
