The Professional MBA is designed to bring immediate benefits to the student’s organization.  Therefore, organizational sponsorship is a requirement for every class member.

The application process includes a recommendation form to be completed by two evaluators within the applicant's organization.  This information, an important part of the decision process, is available only to those involved in the admission process and is destroyed when that process is complete.  It is not shared with the applicant.

The student’s organization is the focus of three projects and a series of assignments that require at-work applications.  Students will identify issues and make recommendations to help their employer remain competitive and move forward on significant initiatives.  In addition, participating organizations have access to UT faculty experts to assist with each of the projects and recommendations.

The benefits include:

• Increased customer value
• Process improvement
• Customer relationship management
• New venture analysis
• Productivity improvement
• Increased sales revenue

"Gary (Grescek, Class of 2000) sharpened his critical thinking skills. His presentations are more crisp and effective, and his business acumen has expanded greatly. The two most obvious benefits of The Professional MBA, though, are his greater sense of confidence and his time management skills.”
